The Ardent is an aggressive, modern and lightweight all-purpose tyre for All Mountain, Enduro and Freeride bikes. The tyre is designed to provide loads of traction, but without sidelining the rider’s needs. The Maxxis Ardent has large block-shaped shoulder knobs that bite the ground with their many edges. Although the tread centre of the Ardent tyre is specially designed for braking and starting torque, it has tapered knobs to minimise rolling resistance. EXO Protection additionally protects the side wall.

For the Dual Compound, two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned individually according to the desired properties of Maxxis tyres.
EXO Protection:
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various Maxxis MTB tyres. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.
Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is reduced. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other ” tubeless ready” tyres. The bead of the Maxxis TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. As a result, tubeless mounting is successful for all rims with standard dimensions even during the first inflation and with little liquid.
